New and Moved Office Locations

Despite unusual global circumstances, the first half of 2020 has been a period of growth for Horrocks Engineers. Our geographical reach and our capacity to meet project needs has grown with the addition and expansion of several Horrocks offices since the beginning of the year.

Three Horrocks offices were moved to new, larger spaces to accommodate growing staff numbers, while two new offices were opened to provide greater service coverage for our clients in northern Utah and northern Colorado. Our operations have also grown in some unanticipated ways as we have tested our remote work capabilities and adapted our use of technology to collaborate safely with clients and team members during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although much of our team is continuing to work from home and are limiting in-person meetings to do our part for the safety of our communities, we look forward to sharing these new office spaces with our clients and partners soon. For the time being, check out this brief roundup of all the 2020 Horrocks office moves and additions so far.

Denver and Greeley, CO

We will be moving our Denver office to a new location within the Triad Building complex in Greenwood Village. This new location in the Triad Building nearly doubles the office space for our expanding operation.

In order to keep up with the rapid growth in Colorado, Horrocks has opened a second office location in Greeley. This office provides significant benefits by decreasing the commute time for some of our staff and allows Horrocks to better serve our northern Colorado clients with faster response times. The Greeley office space is located at 4627 West 20th Street Road.

Reno, NV

Our Reno, Nevada, operations have moved from a smaller project office to a new Horrocks office at 9650 Gateway Drive. Horrocks’ work in northern Nevada have been expanding to include projects such as Reno SBX, a major Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) Design-Build project for which Horrocks is a joint partner with Ames Construction; a US-95 relocation project in Goldfield; preliminary design of Stonegate Interchange; and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) services for NDOT in Tahoe, Dayton, and Gardnerville.

In addition to supporting these projects, our Reno office will provide program management services for the Lake Tahoe Transportation District, and our Senior Attorney, Lou Holland, will provide legal review for Horrocks’ in-house services.

Riverdale, UT

At the beginning of 2020, our Riverdale, Utah, office moved to a new office building at 4919 South 1500 West. The new office space is located just east of our former building and will accommodate 60 employees. With the increasing number of employees in Riverdale (currently 45 full-time employees), we had outgrown the previous location. The open house planned for this spring was not possible, but we look forward to introducing our northern Utah clients to our new space soon.

Salt Lake City, UT

The Salt Lake City, Utah, office was opened to provide more space for our expanding team. This new location, at 1265 East Fort Union Boulevard, will also provide additional support for our Salt Lake County clients and will increase efficient delivery of services by reducing travel time.

San Diego, CA

In early March, our San Diego, California, team relocated to a larger office space at 3111 Camino del Rio North. At this time, the office will be open by appointment only due to COVID-19. Please contact Bob Hendershot if you would like to set up an appointment.
