In 1968, Horrocks Engineers began in American Fork, Utah, as a small consulting engineering company with just a handful of employees. This year, the company celebrates its 50th Anniversary as an innovative, quality-driven, full-service engineering firm of more than 440 employees in 13 offices in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, and California. Horrocks’ 14th and newest office is now open in Denver, Colorado.
After decades of hardship in rural Utah, Gil Horrocks, the company’s founder, built Horrocks Engineers out of his passion for serving our communities. As the company expands, its goals continue to center around improving clients’ quality of life. John Holzwarth, branch manager of the new Denver office, said, “I am extremely excited to join Horrocks as the Colorado Business Leader and bring their exceptional brand of delivery excellence to Colorado. Their family-oriented approach to client care and quality really makes a difference in our highly competitive industry, and I am honored to be part of building that legacy here in Colorado.”
John is an experienced leader in infrastructure development and delivery with specific expertise in the transportation sector. This includes highways, bridges, airports, transit, rail, ports, and maritime. John has progressively grown his management, leadership, and delivery skills by serving clients and internal teams to deliver excellence in all aspects of the industry. “I am looking forward to showing Colorado clients what makes Horrocks special,” John said. “Caring, commitment, respect, and earning their trust every day.”
